So, a jetpack with machine gun attachments just not doing it for you? Do you feel the need to bring a little more “oomph” to your encounters with an evil alien horde? Well, luckily for you the engineers of Tesla Motors and the developers at Capcom have teamed up to give gamers a chance to add a little more electric muscle to their personal arsenal.

To help promote the soon to be released third-person shooter Dark Void, these two companies have organized a contest where contestants can win a variety of prizes including an all expense paid trip to Los Vegas and a test drive in Tesla’s new Roadster as well as a grand prize; a Roadster of your very own.  Now, what exactly is a Tesla Roadster you ask? According to the press release, it’s a “record setting sports car that’s faster than a Porsche 911 Turbo and greener than a Toyota Prius.” So, it’s a mean, green, speeding machine? I’m no automobile expert, so forgive me if that sounds kind of awesome.

The clever marketing here is that one of Dark Void’s main characters is none other than famous inventor Nikolai Tesla, whose expertise in complex technologies combined with his fascination for alien hardware will help the game’s main character survive in the harsh conditions of an alien dimension. With fantastic looking flight mechanics ,  an intriguing vertical combat system, and a great booth at PAX, Dark Void is already on my radar.  Visit the official site to learn more about the game while perhaps entering to win a brand new environmental sports car.
