This week, Harmonix is giving all you wannabe Fab Fours your first big chunk of downloadable content. As promised, The Beatles’ Abbey Road album will be available for download on October 20th. The songs “Come Togetherâ€, “Somethingâ€, “Octopus’s Gardenâ€, “I Want You (She’s So Heavy)â€, “Here Comes The Sun†and “The End†are already on-disc. The following are the remainder of the songs that round out the album:
- Maxwell’s Silver Hammer
- Oh! Darling
- Because
- You Never Give Me Your Money
- Sun King
- Mean Mr. Mustard
- Polythene Pam
- She Came in Through the Bathroom Window
- Golden Slumbers
- Carry That Weight
The most interesting thing about this release is that it offers more features than regular Rock Band DLC. Specifically, with the full album purchase, you’ll be able to play both the 16-minute Abbey Road B-Side medley, and sets of certain songs so that they flow together seamlessly just like they were recorded. The entire album can be purchased tomorrow for 1360 MS Points. As always, you can buy individual songs for 160 MS Points a piece.
Along with Abbey Road coming to The Beatles: Rock Band tomorrow, Queen makes it’s way onto Rock Band/Rock Band 2. This week is definitely chock-full of some of rock’s most famous and historical figures. Is anyone picking up any songs from either set?
