just dealt a big blow to the UFC video game franchise by ’striking’ a deal with UFC’s main competitor Strikeforce for their upcoming game MMAStrikeforce is a premier mixed-martial arts league which features fighters such as Fedor Emelianenko and Brett Rogers as the face of the league.  This is significant because UFC threatened to blacklist any fighters from their league that would choose to appear in MMA.  So, it appears that will definitely have a talented cast to base their game around.

This announcement comes right on the heels of Strikeforce’s Primetime event on CBS Saturday, November 7th.  It’ll feature Emelianenko vs. Rogers, and Jake Shields vs. Jason Miller.

UFC: Undisputed was a surprisingly big hit with an overall positive reception.  Some of this can be attributed to America’s MMA craze.  Everyone knows that has a track record of doing a very good job on all the games that they make.  So, our question is this – Do you think that MMA has a chance to sell just as well or better than UFC: Undisputed based on EA’s reputation, or do you think that UFC is just too big of a name in the world right now to be dethroned?  Let us know in the comments!
