Awesome review, I played a bit of Forza 2, but haven't spent the time with the game it needs/deserves. This sounds like a great iteration.

And, nice movie DjDATZ .. it's pretty awesome!

I guess, but I still think I'd say, it's there for you if you want, but you don't have to use it. It just makes the game more fun for those that might need it. Also, one thing one of the game's producers mentioned to me was that it actually helps people push themselves in races. If you know you don't have anything to lose going into a corner, you might brake a foot later just to see how close to the limit you can get. My recent post Forza Motorsport 3 Retweet Contest!

This is one of many games I wish I had more time to put into. I have conflicting feelings about the rewind feature and difficulty. In Forza 2 I was always on my toes keeping from slipping up. Auto braking takes all that tension out, as does the rewind feature. Yes, I know I don't have to use it, but it's almost as if I'm pressing the "Don't make the last 3 laps a waste of my time button" instead of instant win. My recent post New Super Mario Bros. I can understand why the event list might be overwhelming (with 220 of them) and how this might be a good way of giving the races context. But what it should tell me is that the even I'm about to throw on my calendar (and not be able to remove), I've already completed. Or just have a medal on it corresponding to how you completed it.

yah the situation is a bit weird. I never made it to season 6, but I don't wanna re-do events.
They should have stuck with the calendar only or event list only IMO. not both because it makes it confusing.

That's really the only complaint I have though.

Yea, there really is no story…lol

The one thing that made me a tad annoyed about the calendar is that in the last season, since it's quite long, it may sometimes suggest that you repeat certain events. Which, if you're going for the All Gold achievements, I don't particularly like replaying 6-7 race series. Other than that, once I nailed off season 6, I'm just using the event list to complete the events.

But yea, the game is a LOT of fun.

Great review! I agree with most of the things in this review. I do like the reworked engine and graphics, but I just hate the new season mode! I like the whole calendar thing, but the story mode isn't complex enough if you know what I mean.

Overall though, the game is fun and I enjoy how easy it is with the rewinds
