Today on Xbox Live, unlike many other days, seems particularly busy.
To kick things off, there are 4 new services being added to your Xbox Live experience in the form of apps on the dashboard. Previously, “updates” like this have required an update to your Xbox 360 to download and enable the content. However, the Xbox team has released updates in the last month or two that have slowly been adding the necessary code to your 360. So go enjoy your Twitter, Facebook, Last.FM and Zune!
Next up on the docket, we’ve got 2 new and fairly big game releases today: Valve’s Left 4 Dead 2 and Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed II. Initial reports on both are that both are very high quality titles, so they both deserve a play. Did you pick up either or maybe even both today?
Other titles releasing today include: LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues, NCAA Basketball 10, Planet 51, Stoked: Big Air Edition, Tony Hawk: Ride with Skateboard (Bundle) and Scene It? Bright Lights! Big Screen! Can you say holiday scramble?
Also, in terms of DLC, we’ve also got some heavy hitters today. First, we’ve got The Beatles: Rock Band Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band Album DLC and songs from the album separate, along with a new trailer yesterday. All the DLC can be found on The Beatles: Rock Band game add-on page for your viewing pleasures. Second, Turn 10 Studios teamed up with Hyundai to bring Forza 3 gamers a new free 3-car pack of Hyundai cars, and that was made available this morning. If you’re interested as well, we just posted our Forza 3 review.
We suggest you get cracking on all of this! There’s a lot to get to!
