Friends, Romans, Countrymen; Lend me your controllers!
Ahem, let’s ignore that attempt at blending Italian history with witty gaming commentary and instead move onto a bit of news which might intrigue the concealed weapon holding among you.
Ubisoft has just announced that Assassin’s Creed II will not only receive its first piece of downloadable content in January, but that an entirely secondary piece of DLC will be thrust upon the masses a mere month later. While no specific numerical dates have yet been given, those enigmatic individuals within the Ubisoft media department have teased us with these official preliminary estimations as well as some other choice info, which I will now elaborate upon thusly;
First up will be the Battle of Forli, which will then be followed by the Bonfire of the Vanities. Players must own a copy of Assassin’s Creed II, possess an internet connection and 1.0 gigs of memory for each piece of DLC. Ubisoft also reveals that…
…um.
Nope. That’s all they say. Have a console, have the game, and save some space on your hard drive for what I guess will be some serious assasinatory hijinks. No price as of yet, nor does it appear that the content will be released in any sort of hard copy format a la Episodes From Liberty City. There’s no description of just what these add-ons will entail either, although judging from the titles, I would wager that a trip to the library or wiki of your choice might prove “enlightening”.
See what I did there? Bonfire? Enlightening? It’s funny, because of the the whole bonfire being bright and…aw, just forget it.
