Last week, we thought that Green Day was going to be the big news in the Rock Band world. It looks like Harmonix had an ace in the hole, and they waited until this morning to play it. Just announced is that The Beatles’ “Rubber Soul” will be available on Dec 15. This will be the third full Beatles album released.
Over on Rock Band, this week is all for the pop-punk kids. While Green Day may satisfy the more ‘hardcore’ punk fans, we’d venture to say that this week’s most downloaded track will most likely be “Gives You Hell” by The All-American Rejects. Billboard just named it their most played Top 40 song of 2009, and we think it stands a chance to become one of the most popular Rock Band downloads ever.
As far as pricing goes, “Rubber Soul” is 1440 MSP, the Green Day pack is 440 MSP, and the rest of the songs are 160 MSP individually. The full release schedule follows:
