Initial reports out of the 2009 Video Game Awards are that Green Day is going to be featured in their very own Rock Band game.  A trailer surfaced that showed animated Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool rocking out to “American Idiot”.  Unfortunately, the trailer was pulled shortly after.

Obviously, nothing is set in stone until it’s officially announced.  By all indications, that announcement will come tonight at the VGAs.  However, in retrospect, everything makes perfect sense considering the Green Day track pack that’s coming to Rock Band this week.
