This summer, RedLynx caused a big splash when it released Trials HD on XBLA. Many a hour were spent riding inside a giant metal ball, falling down stairs, and perfecting our ski jump scores. Recently, RedLynx was recognized for their outstanding title with a nomination for “Best Independent Game” at the Spike TV VGA’s.
Now, RedLynx announced that Trials HD will receive DLC titled “Trials HD – BIG Pack” For a cool 400 MS Points, the DLC will include:
- 35 brand new tracks (23 racing tracks, and 12 skill game tracks)
- 5 new tournaments
- More than 50 new physics objects that you can use in level editor
- 3 achievements worth 50 GamerScore
- Squirrel – The BIG Pack mascot (we have no idea what that means)
The BIG Pack drops on December 23rd, and honestly, for $5 it’s a steal. If you’re not convinced, check out the trailer.
Also announced was that Trials HD will be receiving a (much-needed) free title update. Included in the update are the following:
- Simpler Ultimate Endurance tournament making the (practically impossible) Marathon achievement easier to earn
- Improves the Down The Stairs game giving the user better control of the rider
- Fixes reported glitches and bugs, and cleaned all illegitimate scores off of the leaderboards
- Doubles the number of tracks that the user can save
As if this weren’t enough, Trials HD is also getting a premium theme and an avatar prop pack on the Xbox Live Marketplace soon. Of course, all of this news is definitely enough to get us to jump back on our bikes.
