Microsoft’s been plenty busy tonight, and amongst all the other news comes the official announcement of a game called Toy Soldiers by Signal Studios.  Toy Soldiers is an action-packed strategy-based game that lets you command your plastic squad through vintage World War I dioramas.  It appears that the player will be able to control the troops as in a real-time strategy game, but also control specific soldiers from a third-person perspective.

One of the main features of the game is all the variety it’ll showcase.  Toy Soldiers will feature more than 50 unique units and 5 multiplayer maps.  Also, players will be able to take control of airplanes, zeppelins and tanks.  As far as specifics go, the only thing we know is that it’ll arrive in 2010 on Xbox Live Arcade.  Anything else, we’ll let you know as soon as we hear about it.
