Two notable things have happened in the Madden world the last couple of days. First off, the three finalists for the Madden ‘11 cover have been announced. They are *drumroll* New Orleans’s Drew Brees, Minnesota’s Jared Allen, and Indianapolis’s Reggie Wayne. All three are certainly superstars and worthy of gracing the cover of the best football video game ever.
Secondly, EA recently ran their annual Super Bowl Madden simulation. Madden ‘10 has the Saints defeating the Colts 35-31. Obviously, this has no bearing on the actual outcome, but check out the last few simulations and the real final score:
EA Simulation Actual Score
2009: Steelers 28 Cardinals 24 Steelers 27 Cardinals 23
2008: Patriots 38 Giants 30 Giants 17 Patriots 14
2007: Colts 38 Bears 27 Colts 29 Bears 17
2006: Steelers 24 Seahawks 19 Steelers 21 Seahawks 10
They’re not always the closest, but last year’s was scary accurate. Only time will tell how this year’s prediction turns out.
Go ahead and let us know in the comments who you want to be on the cover – candidate or not, and who you’re rooting for in the Big Game!
