You’ve already taken The Flying Tomato down some of the most intense slopes in the world, but are you ready to trade in the powder for some bone-shattering pavement? We sure hope so, because Ubisoft revealed today that they’re working on their first Shaun White Skateboarding title.
Shaun White may not necessarily have the credentials of Tony Hawk, but he’s certainly no skateboarding-slouch. He’s won gold medals at the Summer X-Games, which complement his arsenal of golds from the Winter X-Games and the Olympics. It’s safe to say that he’s a once-in-a-lifetime caliber extreme sports star. This, coupled with the recent Wii-exclusive second snowboaring game, Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage, means that Ubisoft sees Shaun White as a franchise.
“I can’t describe how excited I am about the skateboard game,†said Shaun White. “We’ve been working on it for a while now and it’s ready to melt minds.”
We’re pretty excited about this announcement because the original game was surprisingly good. The game is slated for “Holiday 2010″, which makes you wonder if it’s going to be one of the first Natal-compatible titles.
