Activision Details Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

By | March 31, 2010 | Xbox 360 |

Anyone’s Spidey Sense tingling lately?  If so, that’s probably just anticipation for Activision’s newest Spider-Man game – Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions.  If not, don’t worry; maybe you’ll be lucky enough to get bitten by a radioactive spider someday.

It’s no coincidence that the newest Peter Parker game is called Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, because the premise behind the game is just that – Shattering Dimensions. In essence, the game’s story will span across four unique Spider-Mans from different Marvel eras.  As of today, two of them have been announced – Amazing Spider-Man and Spider-Man Noir.

The Amazing Spider-Man experience delivers innovative web combat and visuals in a world that pays tribute to the classic era of the legendary Super Hero.  In contrast, Spider-Man Noir features a cunning and covert depiction of Spider-Man, who utilizes shadows to perform stealth takedowns in a 1930′s-influenced, black-and-white cinematic environment.

All we really know about the game so far is that it’s slated to release in September 2010 and the “four dimensions” thing.  It’s definitely a unique approach to refreshing an old (but favorite) franchise.  It’s safe to say that we eagerly await the other two Spideys that will be included in the game.  Until then, check out the launch trailer and some screenshots.
