Last night on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, the worst kept secret was finally revealed when Cliff Bleszinski announced Gears of War 3. Along with the first trailer, embedded above, we learned that Gears of War 3 will be released on April 5, 2011 – only a short year away.
We also learned some new details from the game including playable female soldiers (confirmed to be Anya in the trailer), new weapons (double-barrel shotgun), and a new enemy that is known as the lambent.
Any fans looking forward to the third and final Gears of War game?

I haven't had a lot of time for video games but GW2 I made time for. I'll make time for 3 as well. Can't wait a year. Seems like a bit of torture to release a vid a year ahead of time.
