Jeeze, enough with the live-action shorts and give us a damn full-length Halo movie already!
Sure, the diorama shorts for Halo 3 were incredibly awe inspiring in scope and craftsmanship while the ODST “Ready To Drop” trailer was pure adrenaline-fueled-followed-by-manly-fist-pump-awesome, but this latest mini-movie promoting Halo: Reach is pretty ridiculous. It’s all buildup and backstory for a character we haven’t even met with no real payoff, the screen cutting to black just as our boy Carter gets his MJOLNR armor and looks equal parts pensive and bad-ass in the process. Kind of left me feeling a bit underwhelmed, let me tell you.
Still, with the clock ticking on the release of the much hyped Beta, any Reach goodness is always appreciated, so I guess you can take my opinions with two SMGs and a grain of space-salt. Let’s be honest, though: Who else wanted to see some gratuitous Spartan/Elite hand-to-hand violence? You know, the gratuitous, slow motion kind with drabs of plasma fire and random fireballs thrown in for equal measure?
Can I get a “Wort! Wort! Wort!”?
