Do you need speed? Do you live in a major US city? If yes, then good news! EA announced today that they’re taking their newest racing game, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, on tour across the country between mid-July and the game’s release in November. According to EA, the tour “will take place at a hot local venue, will feature world renowned hip hop and rock artists and will showcase an assortment of the world’s sexiest exotic cars including a one-of-a-kind Lamborghini cop car”. So if that sounds like your sort of thing, make sure to check it out! The full list of dates is as follows:
- New York, July 14
- Chicago, Aug. 5
- Seattle, Sept. 4
- San Francisco, Sept. 11
- Austin, Oct. 7
- Miami, Oct. 21
- Los Angeles, Nov. 16
It’s looking like the new Need for Speed is shaping up to be pretty darn good. In fact, it ended up winning the Best Racing Game award at E3. We spent some hands-on time with it at E3, and it was incredibly fun. More than once we had to peel fellow writer DjDATZ away from the demo, and he boasted a 9-1 head-to-head record which isn’t too shabby. However, one of our other writers (Hint: It’s me) finished 1-0, and winning percentages don’t lie.
