For those of you who can’t get enough of the leaky, echoing halls of Rapture, 2K Games has just released an all new single-player add on for the smash hit, BioShock 2. The new game play mode, titled Protector Trials, puts players back into the weighted diving boots of the Big Daddy who is eternally bound to the task of protecting his Little Sister.
You have been charged by Doctor Tenenbaum to retrieve as much ADAM as you can in an effort to derail Sofia Lamb’s plans for Rapture’s future, and where there’s fresh ADAM, there’s almost always Splicers.
This new mode contains many challenges featuring heart pounding combat and lightning quick game play that are designed to push players’ mastery of weapons and Plasmids to their limits. The goal is to keep your Little Sister safe from the intense onslaught of Splicers as she gathers ADAM from corpses.
The pack includes:
- Six new maps: three unique difficulty levels, each based on favorite locales from BioShock 2
- New unlockables, including never-before-seen concept art and videos
- Seven new Achievements
This return trip down the bathysphere will run you about 400 Adam (or Microsoft Points, which ever you happen to have).
