Last week, Bethesda Softworks revealed the star-studded voice over cast for Fallout: New Vegas, as well as releasing a few more juicy screen shots to keep us die-hard wastelanders begging for October to be here yesterday.
“The Fallout franchise has taken narratives in interactive entertainment to the next level, and we could not be more excited about the all-new celebrity lineup for Fallout: New Vegas,†said Pete Hines, Vice President of PR and Marketing for Bethesda Softworks. “The voice acting provided by these actors helps drive the compelling and immersive story of Fallout and further adds to the overall gameplay experience.â€
Anyone familiar with the Fallout franchise, knows that you can’t even begin to cast other voice actors until you have Ron Pearlman under your belt. Fret not, the Golden Globe-winner and two time Emmy nominated actor returns in the newest installment as the beloved narrator of the series, speaking his iconic “War. War never changes” line, among others.
If that’s not enough star power to pique your interest, then let’s talk setting the ambiance and tone. The Mojave Wasteland will be DJ’d by none other that Mr. Las Vegas himself, Wayne Newton, voicing the role of (cleverly enough) Mr. New Vegas. Because let’s face it… you can’t have any incarnation of Vegas without Wayne Newton.

Another former voice actor in the Fallout Series, Michael Dorn (Star Trek: The Next Generation) reprises his role as Marcus (above), an intelligent super mutant, who was last seen in 1998’s Fallout 2.
Also included in the myriad of new voices that will bring the Strip to life are Danny Trejo (“Macheteâ€, “From Dusk Till Dawnâ€) as Raul the Ghoul, Zach Levi (“Chuckâ€) as Arcade, a member of the Followers of the Apocalypse who hides a mysterious past, Felicia Day (“The Guild”, “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-a-long Blog”) as Veronica, a sarcastic Brotherhood of Steel scribe, and William Sadler (“Shawshank Redemption”) as Victor, a friendly robot with the personality of an old fashioned cowboy.
If that’s not enough, rest assured, there are plenty more celebs dotting this game’s voice landscape. And here I thought they were going to have a hard time topping Liam Neeson, and Malcolm McDowell. I love to be proven wrong.
Fallout: New Vegas will be available in North America on October 19, 2010.
