It seems that the Xbox Live Arcade audience likes their zombies, and they like them them in great quantities. We have reason to believe this because Dead Rising 2: Case Zero just shattered all one-week records for sales of any piece of content distributed through Xbox Live. That’s right – it has higher first week sales than any other Arcade game, piece of DLC, or map packs. That’s some serious zombie slaughtering.
As stellar as Case Zero is, there’s a pretty good possibility that Dead Rising 2 will be a mega-hit. Acting as a bridge to span the gap between Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2, Case Zero has certainly introduced plenty of gamers to what the franchise is all about, and we’d be surprised if most players didn’t like what they saw. Especially at the low-low price of $5, who wouldn’t want to explore a zombie-infested mini-town? Wait, that came out wrong.
That’s really impressive! I played the demo for it, but maybe when I get some free time, I’ll buy the full version. Hard to pass up a 400 point price for it.
