By It seems that Astro Gaming is at it again. You know, making ridiculously slick looking gear that has us drooling like Pavlov’s dog. Yesterday, they announced two new holiday items that are probably going to leap-frog straight to the top of a lot of gamers’ X-Mas wish list.
The first new piece of hardware is the Wireless MixAmp 5.8. This is essentially (bear with us here) a wireless rendition of their award-winning MixAmp. The 5.8 GHz device provides the same Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound experience as the original MixAmp, but without the hassle of wires. Additionally, the new MixAmp also features a new Bass Expander Mode, which will be sure to add an extra kick if that’s your style.

The second new product is the Astro A*STAR in-ear headset. These sickly designed ear buds are begging to be your new answer for all mobile situations. This headset will release in three different color variations – black, white, and silver. With a tangle-resistant cord, easily accessible controls, and a wind-shielded mic, the A*STARs are looking to be borderline perfect for use with your phone, media players, or portable gaming devices.

The best part about these two new products is that they’re dropping at a reasonably affordable price. The new MixAmp can be ordered for $99.95, and the A*STARs can be ordered for $79.95. The MixAmp can be pre-ordered now, and will ship in mid-November; the A*STARs can be pre-ordered in mid-November and will ship in early December.
