Microsoft has announced today that the Kinect has already surpassed 2.5 million sales worldwide. The controller-less revolution is now averaging about 100,000 units sold per day since it launched at the beginning of the month. Microsoft has also said that they will make sure that retail chains such as Target will be sufficiently supplied with Kinect throughout the holiday season.

It’s encouraging to see the Kinect selling as well as it has. I’m not ashamed to admit that I didn’t think it would be as popular as it already is. I’m still not sold on the Kinect just yet, but hopefully we’ll see some quality games come out in the coming months to justify that $150 price point.
