That’s right — ready your ivories because The Piano Man himself is making his Rock Band debut next week, and he’s bringing a 12-pack of his Greatest Hits. Fanatics of Mr. Joel will be thrilled with this news, but there are some must-buys for even the most casual of music listeners. Scattered amongst the 12 songs are the likes of “We Didn’t Start The Fire” and “Piano Man”. Now, if those aren’t enough to bring a smile to the whole family over the holidays, we don’t know what is.
As a side note, “legend” has it that this entire track pack was born out of spite. Last year, an episode of The Office made a reference to Billy Joel Rock Band, and an online tv critic said something to the effect of “Billy Joel Rock Band? God forbid that should ever happen” in his next day’s review. This didn’t sit well with Billy, so he had his team contact Harmonix to get his music into the game. Mr. Anonymous Critic – would you mind writing Valve and telling them how terrible Half Life 3 would be? Thanks.
