Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood has been out for roughly a month. Today, Ubisoft has released an “Animus Upgrade” for their multiplayer segment of the game. Not only is this a welcome addition, but it’s a FREE addition.
The first part of the add on is a new map called ‘Mont Saint-Michel’ (pictured above). Â Located on the rocky tidal island of Normandy in France its got new scenery, high ledges, narrow streets and probably a few hay stacks thrown in for good measure.
The second gift is a new game mode. Advanced Alliance is basically just Alliance Mode, but homing in on targets covers a broader area, and your locator won’t tell you if they’re “Up” or “Down”.
Ubisoft Montreal executive producer Sebastien Puel said,
“We are very thrilled to be able to offer the first Multiplayer DLC for Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood for absolutely free. We wanted to say thank you to our fans for making Brotherhood such a huge success its opening week. We are very proud of the unique and innovative Multiplayer mode it offers, and hope the fans enjoy the new content.â€
No Mr. Executive Producer, thank YOU. Not only does DLC enhance its respective game, but giving it away for free is something else entirely.
