Last night, a new update launched for Criterion Games’ latest racer, Need for Speedâ„¢ Hot Pursuit v1.2. The update, which should have automatically been prompted to download (if connected to Xbox LIVE), is 267 MB large, and was said to have the following fixes:
- Fixed various issue to do with players getting stuck on loading after joining online games at specific times.
- Online trial thank you screen appears if the user looses the connection during boot flow on the online pass screen
- Fixed an issue with road block placement on Coral Bay Drive in “Highway Battle” event
- Fixed various issues with the number of snapshot/dreamshots taken displaying incorrectly.
- As well an issue where the player was messaged that they could take no more photos when they had not reached the limit.
We tested the update last night, and discovered 5 new tracks, that were locked, as well as unavailable for purchase.
According to GamerZines, Hot Pursuit’s next DLC will be a ‘Porsche vs. Lamborghini Pack’, according to the game’s updated Trophy list. Interestingly, the trophy descriptions also seem to reveal a new ‘Most Wanted’ mode. The updated Xbox 360 achievements also make reference to the Porsche and Lamborghini Packs.
We reached out to EA to see what everything is officially being called, as well as the price and release date, but EA has yet to acknowledge any parts of the new DLC.
