Rockstar‘s detective opus LA Noire is two months away, and the marketers are hard at work finding new ways to whet our appetites while encouraging eager players to go ahead and put some money down in preparation for the game’s release.
Teaming up with Gamestop (and Game in the UK), the developers are offering to include a free Vice Case (i.e. mission) entitled “The Naked City”, which surrounds the unfortunate death of a beautiful woman with a dark past; what more do you need to know, right? Here’s the full rundown, for you gumshoe types:
“Cole Phelps investigates the apparent suicide of a stunning fashion model. When the young beauty is tragically found naked in her bathroom amidst a pool of pills, the most likely conclusion is that she’s taken her own life. But what about those bruises? And her taste for luxury beyond her means? It soon becomes apparent that this young lady wasn’t quite the ingénue some believed her to be.”
The content looks interesting, but I wish I had a better sense of what to expect from cases in terms of length and content before comitting to such stuff. Still, I’ll definitely be playing this one and the more incentive my procrastinatory nature can get the better. Super sleuths can pick up LA Noire at retailers May 17
