If it wasn’t for Raiden, we might not even have what we refer to as Mortal Kombat. Sure, Ed Boon and John Tobias had some kind of a hand in it, but Raiden is the one who pleaded with the elder Gods to give mankind a fighting chance against Shao Kahn and his plot to merge our realm with his.
It’s fitting then, that Raiden gets his own video added to the reveal roster. While there was never any real doubt that he would eventually get one, maybe it should have been the first one? After all, the tournament was his idea.
