Yesterday, Bethesda Softworks announced the upcoming DLC releases for Fallout: New Vegas, with the first arriving as soon as May 17th. With a total of three coming, we can expect one a month for the next three months.
The first DLC titled Honest Hearts takes place in the untainted Zion National Park in Utah. Your caravan is ambushed by a tribal raiding gang, which if you were paying attention to the stories of New Vegas proper; you’d know that this sucks. As you try to find a way back to the Mojave, you become embroiled in a war between tribes and a conflict between a New Canaanite missionary and the mysterious Burned Man. In true Fallout style, your decisions determine the final outcome. Honest Hearts arrives May 17th.
Next up in June, in Old World Blues you get to try your hand at being an involuntary lab rat, and delve into the mystery behind some of the Mojave’s finer creature creations. Pilfer the Pre-War research centers of the Big Empty trying to find technology in order to turn the tables on your kidnappers…  or join forces with them against an even greater threat. No word on a specific arrival date.
Last but not least, in July, take the Lonesome Road. Your story comes full circle when you meet the original Courier #6, a gentleman named Ulysses who had refused to deliver the Platinum Chip. Ulysses’ initial transmission promises answers, but only if you are willing to take on one last job. This job will lead you to the region of the Divide; a dangerous region riddled by hurricanes, earthquakes and violent storms. That’s fine by me… just as long as there’s no cazadors.
All DLC for Fallout: New Vegas will be available for download on Xbox LIVE® for 800 Microsoft Points.
