It seems like years ago when rumors started that the Xbox 360 was going to get a HD remake of the classic Nintendo 64 game, GoldenEye 007. The rumors were laid to rest last year when Activision released a remake, with a different story on the Nintendo Wii, and leaving Xbox 360 (as well as PlayStation 3) without any version of the game.
Fast forward to July 2011, specifically (of all places) San Diego Comic Con, and Activision has just officially announced that GoldenEye 007 Reloaded will be coming to the Xbox 360 this year with new gameplay modes and more multiplayer options. Yet, we have to wonder why Activision wouldn’t announce it at E3, and why we are getting another FPS when we already have Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, and Gears of War 3 all already coming out in the same quarter.
