Twisted Pixel’s first foray into retail games, The Gunstringer, is set to hit store shelves on September 13th. The game, which is also their first Kinect title, will retail for only $39.99, and will have free DLC available upon it’s release. That information above is already enough incentive for me to run out and get the game pre-ordered today, but if you need a little bit more to sweeten the pot, you’re gonna love this.
During Comic Con, Twisted Pixel announced that The Gunstringer would be shipped with a redeemable token for a copy of Halfbrick’s Summer of Arcade title, Fruit Ninja Kinect. The game hits Xbox Live Marketplace on August 10, but those of you who can wait the extra month will be able to get the Kinect version of the popular iPhone game for free. In addition to that, pre-ordering The Gunstringer will also get you two free props for your avatar based on The Gunstringer game.
If you own a Kinect, you’d be insane not to pick up The Gunstringer. I’ve already sung my praises of Twisted Pixel countless times in the past, but to get two Kinect games and avatar content for only forty bucks is a steal. You also gotta admit, it’s pretty great to see two game developers working together so closely. Who knows, maybe the next game we’ll see come out of these guys is a crossover fighting game. Who wouldn’t want to see Captain Smiley take on the King from Raskulls?
