Gearbox Reveal Borderlands 2

It’s been rumored at for a while now, but today it was revealed that Gearbox is indeed working on a sequel to their immensely successful Borderlands. The game will be fully revealed in the September issue of Game Informer, along with the awesome cover art you see above.

Not too much has been revealed just yet, but Game Informer’s website has multiple sections that will be available to view as the magazine’s ship date gets closer, including an interview with Randy Pitchford, a teaser trailer, and much more.

Borderlands was one of my favorite games of the year when it was released back in 2009. The seamless drop in and out co-op combined with the oodles and oodles of awesome weaponry made it a very hard game to put down. They’ve already teased that Borderlands 2 will have all new characters for you to pick from, but I sincerely hope I can bring over my tank character from the first game. He jumped into the final boss and beat him to death from the inside. Why would I want a new one?
