Fight Together Or Die Alone In Dead Island’s Co-Op Mode

The news poured out today that Dead Island, that plucky little survival horror game with one of the greatest trailers of all time, has gone gold. The game is ready for release on September 6th, and Techland have rewarded all of us patient fans with a trailer that shows a little bit of the co-op mode.

The trailer only shows us a small glimpse of what to expect, but I’m super excited nonetheless. All of the characters they’ve announced so far as part of the story have some great backstory that I’m looking forward to seeing how they build, especially the one-hit wonder rapper Sam B. It’s a shame that Dead Island couldn’t beat Left 4 Dead to store shelves, and the similarities will probably hurt the game a bit in the long run, but it still looks to be an amazingly deep game with a fantastic story, something that more games need to focus a lot more development time on.

As stated above, Dead Island releases on September 6th. I call dibs on Sam B.
