By We want to get nerdy for a minute, and it doesn’t get a whole lot nerdier than elaborate stats for video game play. However, that’s exactly what Epic Games did after the first Gears of War 3 weekend multiplayer event. They tracked what you were playing and how you were playing, and are giving us a look at the feedback. They’ve even acted on the valuable input, and effective today, the sawed-off shotgun will no longer gib from a further distance than the gnasher.
A lot of their findings aren’t all that surprising, but the statisticians out there are likely to gobble up any bit of in-depth analysis they can get their hands on.
