Major Nelson and the team at Xbox have made a surprising announcement today on the heels of yesterday’s global new Xbox 360 Dashboard release. Available for download right now is an official Xbox LIVE iOS app. The app allows users to send messages, change their Avatar, manage their friends list, and more.
This is the exact type of cross-device functionality that tech junkies have been clamoring for for years. Given that it seems like half of the developed world owns some sort of iOS product, this release should go a long ways toward Microsoft ensuring that users are connected to their service at all times.
