I’m really not sure what to think of it, I was a huge Ghostbusters fan, like most people, but I’m always apprehensive of video game adaptations. Some of the stuff in the trailer looked great, and the graphics style seemed pretty smooth, so I guess we’ll see how it turns out. Check out the trailer, it is at the very least interesting.

The music is great, the graphics are great, the UI is looking slick, as expected. I now believe Harmonix has the one up on Guitar Hero. I really love that trippy color effect it has every now and then. Harmonix is doing exactly what they said they were going to do, “Perfect it.”

He then went on to show a demonstration of the game, which included the opening sequence, and slow motion bird droppings.

After this silliness, Molyneux went on to give a in-game demonstration, talking about the characters, coop, lifestyles, and different ways you can have fun with different people in the game.

Fable 2 will be out this October. I am very excited myself, I loved Fable 1. I’m hoping that the linear storyline problem is truly solved. Hopefully the claims will come through this time and we’ll have complete freedom in the world, without limitations.

Being a huge Rock Band enthusiast myself, and on a team for it, I quickly jumped in to the article and started analyzing it.

Here are some great features that Harmonix is going to have in Rock Band 2 aside from the 80+ songs that will be on the disk itself.

  • Online Band World Tour Mode.
  • Full DLC Backwards Compatibility.
  • Tour Challenge mode replacing Solo Tour.
  • Battle of the Bands online game mode.

Along with this information, Harmonix announced the first 10 of 80+ songs that are going to be on Rock Band.

  • “Ace of Spades” — Motörhead
  • “Everlong” — Foo Fighters
  • “Pinball Wizard” — The Who
  • “Panic Attack” — Dream Theater
  • “Any Way You Want It” — Journey
  • “Chop Suey” — System of a Down
  • “Kids in America” — The Muffs
  • “Give It Away” — Red Hot Chili Peppers
  • “Hello There” — Cheap Trick
  • “Pump It Up” — Elvis Costello

The list is looking fantastic. Long time fans will praise the new appearance of Dream Theater. Other popular songs on the list include “Pinball Wizard” and “Any Way You Want It” by The Who and Journey, respectively.

Well, today has been a good day for rhythm gamers everywhere. Harmonix has shown that they will not stand aside while Activision attempts to steal their thunder. I’m really looking forward to Rock Band 2, which will be hitting stores in September. Check out the attached link for the full article.

Harmonix was going to reveal the list tomorrow, but, The Who have beat them to it! The Who built this list for Harmonix and revealed today what those 12 songs are going to be.

Here they are:

  • “Amazing Journey”
  • “Baba O’Riley”
  • “Behind Blue Eyes”
  • “Eminence Front”
  • “Going Mobile”
  • “Leaving Here”
  • “My Generation” (LIVE)
  • “Real Good Looking Boy”
  • “Sea & Sand”
  • “Summertime Blues” (LIVE)
  • “Who Are You”
  • “Young Man Blues” (LIVE)

It is important to note that all tracks are original masters. The big surprise here is “Baba O’ Riley”, because Townshend stated one of the master copies of Who’s Next was stolen and he noted that song as well as “Bargain”.

Now, as for myself, this is the greatest thing that has ever happened. I love the Who, I love Rock Band, and I love Harmonix.

The pack will be available July 15th for $20, or $1.99 per track.

The best part about this track is that it will be free. It’s right along side Halo and Portal now, and it sounds like this one might be fairly challenging considering the song.

The game brings political satire, beat em up games, and partying all in to one bundle. Gamecock claims that this game brings innovative gameplay that is designed to be fun, simple, fast, and in a style that has never been done before.

If anyone picks this up, be sure to tell us how it is! That certainly is a big claim on Gamecock’s part.
